In 1989, Ken Jarrett joined the United States Air Force and began his career as an electrician.
Stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base, he completed his apprenticeship with two USAF correspondence courses on electrical wiring, a semester at the
local community college on residential wiring and nearly 8,000 hours on-the-job training renovating base facilities, installing specialty equipment
and servicing existing facilities.
In 1993, after returning home from New York, Ken gained employment with a highly regarded electrical contractor in the Utica Square area of Tulsa
and shortly after, enrolled in, and completed, an 11 month comprehensive electrical course at Climate Control Institute. He recieved his unlimited journeyman license in
December of 1993.
While working full time as an electrician, Ken worked nights and weekends to complete an associate degree in physics from Tulsa Community College in 2001.
Since acquiring his journeyman's license, Ken has been the electrical foreman on hundreds of significant projects, from shopping mall buildouts such as
Gap/Gap Kids, Footlocker, Bath & Body Works; freestanding restaurants from the ground up like Tony Roma's and Veladi Ranch Steak House; and more recently,
Community Health Connection, Encentus Credit Union and TRS.
On a residential front, Ken has been the foreman on remodels and service calls/troubleshooting in some of the finest homes in Tulsa and surrounding communities.
Industrially, Ken has electrically installed heavy machinery or gear for the likes of John Crane Lemco, Baldwin Steel, Composite International, Sercel-Opseis,
Whirlpool and Webco.
After nearly twenty years with the same company, Ken decided to break out on his own, and in June of 2012, acquired his unlimited contractor's license,
and formed Jarrett Electric, LLC with his wife Cindy.
